Roof replacement and repair in Mississauga

Mississauga's roofs fall into two broad groups. South of the QEW, in Mineola, Lorne Park, Port Credit and Clarkson, large lots, tall trees and custom rebuilds mean big, complicated roofs that collect leaves and shade. North of it, the subdivisions of Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Streetsville were built in waves from the 1970s to the 1990s, and many of those roofs are on their second covering and due for a third.

Either way, we bring the same approach: full tear-off, proper ice and water protection, and ventilation designed for the attic in front of us.

Local homes

The roofs we work on in Mississauga

Custom homes and rebuilds on mature lots in Mineola and Lorne Park with steep hips and long valleys, lakefront houses in Port Credit, and two-storey subdivision homes from the 1970s to the 1990s across central and north Mississauga.

What the weather does here

Lakefront areas take wind and humidity off Lake Ontario. In the south end, heavy tree cover fills eavestroughs and valleys and keeps north slopes damp, encouraging moss and algae.

Questions

Mississauga roofing questions

Do you work across all of Mississauga?

Yes, from Port Credit and Lorne Park in the south to Meadowvale, Streetsville and Churchill Meadows in the north.

Do I need a permit to re-roof in Mississauga?

A like-for-like re-roof usually does not. Structural changes do, and homes in a heritage conservation district such as Meadowvale Village can need heritage approval for exterior changes. We check before we start.

My subdivision roof is 25 years old. Should I replace it?

Probably soon. Most asphalt roofs in this climate give about twenty years. We will inspect it and tell you honestly whether you have a few years left or should plan now.
