Who we are

Ross the Roofer ("we", "us") is a roofing contractor based in Toronto, Ontario. We are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you contact us through this website, by phone or by email, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, phone number, property address and details about your roofing project. Our website also collects standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through server logs and, if enabled, analytics tools.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange consultations, proposals and work
• To fulfil contracts, warranties and maintenance plans
• To comply with legal, insurance and safety obligations
• With your consent, to send occasional seasonal roofing advice; you can opt out at any time

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, our email host and, where applicable, engineers or heritage consultants engaged on your project) and where required by law.

Retention & security

Project and warranty records are retained for the life of the warranty. Enquiry information that does not lead to a project is deleted within 24 months. Information is stored on access-controlled systems within Canada or with providers offering equivalent protection.

Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies unless you accept the consent notice. If you accept, we load Google Analytics, the Google Ads tag and, where enabled, the Meta Pixel. These measure which pages and ads bring people to us and whether they call or request a consultation. Google and Meta may set their own cookies and receive your IP address; Google's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy apply. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.

Our Google reviews are displayed by Trustindex, which loads them from its own servers and receives your IP address when it does. Trustindex's privacy policy applies to that content.

Our contact page shows a map from Google Maps. Google serves the map directly, so Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies when the map loads. Google's privacy policy applies to that content. The rest of the site, including its fonts, is served from our own domain.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@rosstheroofer.ca. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
