Toronto's usual suspects

While you wait: place a bucket under the leak and, if the ceiling is bulging, puncture it with a screwdriver at the lowest point to release water in a controlled way. Move valuables and photograph everything for your claim. Do not go on the roof.

When to call

What counts as a roofing emergency?

Call the emergency line, day or night, if water is coming into the house, if part of the roof has blown off or been punctured by a tree limb, or if a ceiling is sagging with water. Those situations get worse by the hour, and a tarp or temporary membrane put on quickly can save thousands of dollars in interior damage.

If you have a slow drip, a few missing shingles or a stain that is not growing, it can usually wait for a booked roof repair within the week. When in doubt, call: a roofer will tell you honestly whether it can wait.

Do you charge an emergency call-out fee?

Yes, a fixed call-out fee covers arrival and stabilisation, quoted before we dispatch. It is credited against the permanent repair if you proceed with us, and it is typically recoverable under your insurance policy.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Routinely. Our reports are written for adjusters, we attend adjuster inspections on request, and we bill the insurer directly where the policy allows.

Do you respond outside Toronto?

Yes, across the GTA including Oakville, Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham and Burlington. Response times outside the city are longer in major storms; we prioritise active water entry.
