Roof Repair in Toronto

Find the cause. Fix it once.

Most leaks get misdiagnosed the first time. We trace the actual fault with a careful inspection, inside and out, and water testing where it is needed, then fix it in the same materials the roof was built with.

Care plans

Annual care that protects the roof and its warranty

A good roof rewards attention. Care Plan customers get a spring and an autumn visit every year: inspection, eavestroughs cleared, valleys swept, sealant and fasteners renewed, ventilation checked, and a photo-documented condition report you can hand to your insurer or the next owner.

Plans are available for roofs we installed and for roofs we did not.

  • Two visits a year, spring and autumn
  • Photo-documented condition report
  • Eavestroughs, valleys and drains cleared
  • Priority storm-season response

Warning signs

Signs your roof needs a repair

Small roof problems are cheap to fix and expensive to ignore. Water that gets past the roof covering soaks the deck, the insulation and the ceiling below long before you see a stain. Call us for an inspection if you notice any of these:

  • A water stain or bubbling paint on an upper-floor ceiling, especially after rain or a thaw
  • Missing, lifted or creased shingles after a windstorm
  • Dripping or damp insulation in the attic, or frost on the underside of the deck in winter
  • Loose or rusted flashing around the chimney, skylights or plumbing vents
  • Granules piling up at the downspouts, or dark patches where shingles have worn through
  • Icicles and ice ridges along the eaves, which point to an ice dam forming

What a roof repair costs in Toronto

Most repairs are modest. A typical Toronto roof repair runs around $2,500, with simple jobs such as replacing a few shingles or resealing a vent costing a few hundred dollars and larger flashing, chimney or deck repairs reaching $10,000 or more. You get a written price before any work starts, and the inspection comes at no cost.

Repair or replace?

If the roof is under fifteen years old and the problem is local, a repair is almost always the right call. If the shingles are worn across whole slopes, the deck is soft or the roof is leaking in several places, a full roof replacement is usually better value than paying for repair after repair. We will tell you honestly which one your roof needs.

We repair roofs across the city and the GTA, including North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough, Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham and Oakville.

Questions

Repairs, answered

How quickly can you inspect a leak?

Non-urgent inspections are booked within the week. An active leak is handled by our emergency crew, typically the same day.

Do you repair roofs installed by other companies?

Yes. Roughly half of our repair work is on roofs we did not install, including many premium roofs let down by poor flashing or ventilation.

Will a repair affect my existing warranty?

We review your existing warranty terms first and work within them. Where a manufacturer requires a certified installer for warranty-preserving repairs, we hold those certifications.

How often should a Toronto roof be inspected?

Twice a year: after winter to catch freeze-thaw damage, and in autumn before snow. Also after any storm with winds above 80 km/h or hail.
