What we repair

Roof damage we repair

Fallen trees & branches

Punctured decking, broken rafters and torn shingles rebuilt to match, with the structure checked before the roof is closed up.

Raccoon & animal damage

Torn vents, soffits and shingles repaired and the entry points sealed with metal so they stay sealed. Toronto raccoons are persistent.

Ice dam damage

Lifted shingles, wet decking and stained ceilings repaired, followed by the ventilation and insulation fixes that stop the next ice dam. Read our guide.

Rotted or soft decking

Water-damaged sheathing cut out and replaced, then re-roofed with ice and water protection so the repair lasts.

Failed flashing

Chimney, wall, valley and vent flashings that have rusted, lifted or been caulked over, renewed in metal.

Previous bad repairs

Patches, tar and mismatched shingles from earlier repairs taken off and redone properly.

How it works

From damage to dry, step by step

  1. Make it safe. If the roof is open, our 24/7 emergency crew tarps and dries it in first.
  2. Assess and photograph. We inspect the roof and the attic and document every bit of damage.
  3. Written, fixed price. You get the scope and price in writing before any work starts.
  4. Repair properly. Damaged decking, flashings and roofing replaced in matching materials.

Insurance

Working with your insurance

Sudden damage, like a fallen tree or wind, is often covered by Ontario home insurance; wear and tear usually is not. We give you dated photographs and a written description of the damage to support your claim. Our guide to storm damage and Ontario home insurance explains how claims work. If the damage came from a storm, see roof repair for storm and wind damage.

If the damage is widespread or the roof is near the end of its life, we will tell you honestly whether a new roof is better value than a large repair.
